An analysis of medical claims data from 50 million adults with commercial insurance found that transitioning care from in-person to virtual could lower overall medical claims spending by 2.3% to 3.1%. The study, conducted by Solera Health, estimates that the shift to virtual care could lead to more than $50 billion in annual cost savings.
